API
Documented interface through which software can access data or supported functions
Accuracy / repeatability / resolution
Error relative to reference, consistency of repeat measurements, and displayed increment are different properties.
BMS
Building management system
Conductivity
A fluid’s electrical conductivity, usually µS/cm here. Compare actual minimum value with the offered electromagnetic model.
D in straight runs
Pipe diameters used to state required straight length; follow the manufacturer's definition
DN / NB
Nominal connection size; confirm actual dimensions where they affect installation or calculations
HES / MDMS
Head-end collection system / meter-data management system
IP
Ingress-protection classification; verify which component and exposure conditions it covers
ISI / BIS / MID
Marks, certification frameworks and standards references must be checked for the exact offered product and jurisdiction. A brochure statement is not independent verification.
MAP / working pressure
Allowable operating pressure under the stated conditions
NRV
Non-return valve; its presence and behavior must be confirmed separately
PLC / SCADA
Process controller / supervisory monitoring and control system
PN / flange class
Connection/rating designation; also verify material, temperature and drilling
Q1 / Q2 / Q3 / Q4
Minimum, transitional, permanent and overload flow designations under the stated modern standard; keep the standard and orientation attached.
R
Q3 divided by Q1: a measuring-range ratio, not an accuracy percentage.
RS485 / Modbus
RS485 is an electrical interface. Modbus is a protocol. Obtain the exact register map and serial configuration.
Totalizer
Accumulated volume, usually in litres or cubic metres
Turndown / rangeability
Ratio between stated upper and lower flows; ask which endpoints and accuracy conditions define it
Wet dial / dry dial
Register exposed to water or isolated from it; neither term establishes an accuracy class.
kgf/cm²
One kgf/cm² is approximately 0.980665 bar. Test pressure and allowable working pressure remain separate.
